The open structure of the cushion offers unique airflow offering a great microclimate strategy.
When testing the cushions, University of Pittsburgh looked at how easily water vapor could pass through them. If the cushion is not effective, the user could end up feeling more humid and uncomfortable over time. High humidity can also cause friction between skin and textiles, which can lead to pressure injury
Seat cushions based on Ergomise™ Technology offer the lowest humidity at user interface, which helps protect the skin and lower the risk of pressure injuries. Temperature control

The Netti Precision™ seat cushions and the underlying technology have been tested against competitor cushions not only by Netti, but also by the test institute at the University of Pittsburgh, and the results show outstanding performance.
High temperature can lead to humidity causing skin breakdown. The Netti Precision™ material maintain a low temperature and thus lower risk of injury. According to the test institute at the University of Pittsburgh, the temperature at the interface between the user and Netti Precision™ material is only 32,7°C after 3 hours. Comparable cushions measure between 33,7°C and 35,7°C.

Once a decubitus ulcer has developed, wheelchair users can face painful treatments, months of bed rest, and hospitalisation. Netti Precision™ offers an effective pressure redistribution strategy, which is key to prevention of pressure ulcers.
Netti Precision Active is a good choice as pressure injury prevention for active wheelchair users with a more round bottom and fat containing bottocks.
If the user has high risk of skin breakage, large need for pressure relief or a more pointy bottom, we recommend Netti Precision 1 or Netti Precision 2.
The core of the seat cushion is machine washable at temperatures up to 65°C. It air dries quickly due to breathable design.
The covers can be washed at 70°C and dries at 80°C.

Breathable, elastic and durable. Enhances the microclimate, ventilates and reduces build-up of heat. This strengthens the skin and the resistance of the underlying tissue against internal and external influences, such as pressure and shear. The material is polyester and elastane.
